I wouldn't exactly call CD success vs. the LPD on the gridiron "regular". Maybe their best can beat the LPD's 4th or 5th best once every 5 years...but that's about the extent of it.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....

What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
My comment isn't about the Gate City fans or the users from Gate City on this forum. It is about the quality of their sports programs.
I have, and I think we all have, encountered good and bad fans from every school. Regardless of what any of us think about the fans, it doesn't take away from the success and accomplishments of a team.
Yes, I've seen a lot of jealousy towards Gate City. I've said it before, "when you have a successful team, you're going to have jealousy." When Powell Valley was winning the state championships in the 1990's, people were jealous of them. When JJ Kelly won all the baseball championships, people were jealous of them. It's human nature.
With all the controversy over the all-district, POY, COY awards aside, Gate City is leaving the LPD. I have no doubt in my mind that some people are elated over that fact. I may be one of the few who really hates to seem them leave. But, regardless of how we feel about it, we can't truthfully deny what they've accomplished in the district, and what they're taking with them. Gate City made the LPD a better district!

I have to differ. Rye Cove has beaten JJK, Coeburn, and Appy more than once over the last few years. TS has beaten LPD schools as well. This just didn't happen when the league was strong.

No they don't I just finished a test, so I got on the internet to listen to 40 year olds talk about how much they wish gate city would leave the LPD so there schools could win again once there kids grow up and stuff...

OK..TS has beaten Coeburn 3 times in the last 10 years...and Coeburn has been weak...RC has beaten Appy once or twice EVER...and, I'm not trying to sound smart-a$$ or anything..but beating Kelly in FB hasn't been anything to write home to mommy about in the past few years. The only CD teams I can ever remember that could have competed year in and year out in the LPD was Pennington and Jonesville.
